A little about us and plans for the festive afternoon

We’re Brilliant Brighton - a not for profit organisation formed of 517 businesses in Brighton City Centre, who come together to fund projects such as the city centre’s Christmas lights scheme and dressing the city in the summer with hanging baskets, bunting and colourful banners. Our aim is to make the city centre a wonderful place to work, live and visit.

Our festive afternoon, taking place on Saturday 16th November, aims to spread a little festive cheer in the run up to the Christmas season. As well as having elves visiting businesses and giving out goodies, we’ll also be launching a window dressing competition - which will hopefully see many businesses across the city centre take part. The event will also be illuminated by our Christmas lights, further adding to the magic.

Of course, a festive event wouldn’t be complete without music filling the air, and so we’re looking for a small number of local choirs to get involved to help us get everyone feeling Christmassy!

We’re looking for choirs to perform in the city centre throughout the afternoon (with vocal rest breaks!). These locations will be confirmed well in advance. However, as they’re on streets in the city centre, we sadly aren’t able to offer any protection from the weather!  Being on a Saturday, we won’t have access to an office space to store bags/coats etc. either, so choir members would just need to remember to wrap up for the weather and not bring heavy bags with them!
