No previous musical experience needed

If you’ve never sung before or played any instruments, don’t worry! We can teach you how to sing with our professional, trained musicians. We’ll make sure you improve your singing while enjoying yourself every week.

We know it can be scary to sing in front of people so that’s why we’ll never make you sing on your own. You’ll always sing in groups, with friendly people supporting you.

With increasing loneliness and anxiety, you can find a safe space to be yourself & connect with others at our choir. Get support from like-minded people who genuinely care about you and find yourself again.

"Great collaboration of like-minded people who enjoy singing and it’s a place to have fun forget your troubles and share the joy of music - but in particular the choir host who is very talented and engaging and super funny!"

A message from Andrew Small,
Founder and Director of Buskerteers Choir

Hello and thank you for your interest in Buskerteers Choir. I founded the organisation in January 2020 with the goal of combining my love of choirs and community spirit, and a personal mission to fundraise £1m for charity.

We've now got 20 choirs open with over 1000 people involved and we've raised over £100,000 for charity in just three years.

I'm very proud and excited to open up a brand new choir in Bishop's Stortford. Your choir sessions will be led by a close personal friend of mine, who happens to be one of the most talented musicians I know.

I look forward to welcoming you on to this crazy journey where we learn songs in three-part harmony, practice  sounding great and then use them to help others by raising money and awareness for charitable causes.

Our latest project raised over £8,000 for Comic Relief, went viral on TikTok and ended up on BBC News. This is what being a Buskerteer is all about! You can watch the video below.

I look forward to you joining us on this exciting and rewarding journey.
