"I joined Buskerteers Choir for a confidence boost, to meet new people and to give myself something to do on an evening for 'me' time. Best decision I've made in a very long time."

- Paula Harrison

About the Brentwood choir group

Our choir is a friendly and welcoming bunch. Packed with humour and enthusiasm from our singers, our sessions are always a great place to be in. With an atmosphere that’s full of life, we have a busy rehearsal room that is perfect for singing together. Even if you’re nervous, we’ll look after you and take you under our wing.

Learn from professionally trained musicians

Don’t worry if it’s your first time singing. We teach you how to sing with our professional, trained musicians. You’ll improve your singing and have fun every week.

It can be scary to sing in front of people so that’s why we’ll never make you sing on your own. You’ll always sing in groups, with friendly people supporting you.

Find your safe space with us

With increasing loneliness and anxiety, you can find a safe space to find yourself again or escape from the pressures of life. Get support from like-minded people who genuinely care about you.

"I’d recommend everything... sharing our love of music with each other, making new friends and feeling part of something rather special. Raising money is always a great thing to do, too"

- Barbara Holloway

A message from your choir leader

My name is Andrew Small and I am the Buskerteers Choir Leader for Brentwood, Chelmsford, Rayleigh and South Woodham Ferrers.
I've been a professional musician for many years. I've travelled all over the world performing at many different shows, corporate events and weddings.

I'm very excited to welcome you into our choir and to take you on an amazing musical journey. We'll be learning songs and performing on stage together, and trying to raise as much money for charity as we can with our busking and performing.
I can't wait to meet you! Watch my choirs perform a flashmob in the meantime.

Pride of Britain awards

In 2021, our founder and Director of the Buskerteers Choir, Andrew Small, was nominated for a Pride of Britain Award for fundraising.

ITV News attended our local choir rehearsal to find out more about the Buskerteers.

"I'm not a great singer, but altogether I must say we sound good!! I would definitely recommend attending, it gives a real sense of achievement and uplifts your mood."
